Just the day after the People’s Court of Dak Nong Province had sent blogger Dinh Dang Dinh to prison, the People’s Court of Ha Noi sentenced Le Thanh Tung to 5 years of imprisonment followed by 4 years of house arrest for “propaganda against the government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.”
He was detained since December 1 of last year and accused of having posted articles on the internet that “oppose the regime, defame the government, demand pluralism and multi-party system, demand changes to the Constitution of Vietnam.” Dinh was charged with the same crimes.
Neither Dinh nor Tung had legal representation.
